Innovative cooling for Auckland's events hub
The New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) is in Auckland's CBD. This state-of-the-art facility caters to major conferences, exhibitions, and events.
We designed and installed a comprehensive refrigeration system for the NZICC's extensive food and beverage operations. This includes 20 strategically placed cool rooms, a massive main processing kitchen that feeds 3,000 to 6,000 people, minor servery kitchens throughout the centre, and large, dedicated liquor storage rooms.
The project wasn't without its challenges. A fire in October 2019 caused significant damage, requiring us to work closely with insurance companies and adjust our plans. Despite the setback, we got back on track.
