White Refrigeration is a family-owned business with 50 years of experience in commercial refrigeration and air conditioning. We offer services from design and installation to maintenance and repair – all under one roof.

Our close-knit team of skilled professionals handle refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation, plus custom-built wine cellars – a rare combination that sets us apart. We've grown to become one of Auckland's largest engineering teams, serving prestigious clients like DHL, Auckland Hospital, NZ Blood and Eden Park.

Our History and Today

Founded in the 1960s by Don White, the business first focused on manufacturing under-bench drink coolers and walk-in cool rooms for keg storage and also serviced residential refrigerators.

In 1988, Don retired and sold the business to the Begg family. We ceased the manufacturing side of the company in 2008, focusing on the growing commercial services sector.

In 2014, we consolidated our operations, offering a one-stop shop for refrigeration and air conditioning needs. We moved from three buildings on Great North Road to a larger facility on the Grey Lynn/Ponsonby border.

We are now supported by a dedicated team who share our customer-centric vision and values. This has propelled White’s toward greater strength and success, bringing us to where we stand today.

We're qualified to help.

Due to being IQP registered and compliant, we can assist our clients to qualify for their building Warrant of Fitness, as required by the Building Code legislation. Our certification means we can complete building surveys on refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, and sign off PS1 & PS3.
